My husband works in an engineering office in Zurich and loves to flannel shirts. During leisure, for hiking or on construction sites and professionally I find it okay. He takes such a shirt but also to the office, which I think is totally wrong. Who is right? T. Kälin, e-mail
An engineer is not a banker who sneaks around on carpets days, but a man of action who also plays in rubber boots waded through mud and aufwuchtet site with a pick a Dolendeckel. This earthy kind should be allowed to see him, always, so also in the office. That's why I think the flannel shirts as rustic as they may be, actually it should be. As long as your husband that not only carries with ties!
